Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Software Systems Analyst to join our team in Boone, NC. You can be a part of a highly professional Information Technology team. As a Software Systems Analyst you will be responsible for turning initial requirements into developable solutions. You will be working with key subject matter experts, program managers, solution architects, and developers to provide custom applications that solve real-world problems. A day in the life of a Software Systems Analyst:

In the role of Software Systems Analyst, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Work with ministry areas and program managers to document needs, processes, and workflows as they relate to custom applications
  • Work with ministry areas and program managers to turn basic business requirements into user stories, functional, and non-functional requirements that are developable
  • Work with program managers and ministry areas to prioritize analysis and development activities
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and analysis workshops to gather an understanding of system needs
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, solution architects, user experience experts, and program managers to design systems that achieve the ministries areas' objectives
  • Collaborate with partner teams to build great products and projects
  • Provide technical training on developed solutions to ministry areas, training teams, and program managers
  • Work alongside quality assurance team members to ensure quality delivery of developed systems
  • Communicate system and business requirements to developers during development kickoff meetings
  • Work cross-functionally to obtain appropriate agreements and approvals for custom development projects
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participates in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer science and five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant working experience required; or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Thorough knowledge of business analysis or systems analysis
  • Thorough knowledge of the systems development lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of what it takes to build, deliver, and maintain custom software 
  • Ability to translate business speak to technical speak and technical speak to business speak
  • Ability to lead and maintain control of meetings
  • Thorough knowledge in creating user stories, functional specifications, and non-functional expectations
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred

God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society.
