You could be an essential cog in the wheel for air shipments all over the world to help the hurting and needy.  The Air Cargo Load Builder/Emergency Readiness Coordinator serves a dual role for the Projects Department from North Wilkesboro, NC. This role ensures the readiness of the ground handling equipment, and oversees and coordinates all air cargo load-building activities. Additionally, this role serves on the Projects Logistics Emergency Medical Response (EMR) team and is responsible for maintaining deployment readiness of all Emergency Medical Response (EMR) units.  Come join an dynamic team!

A day in the life of an Air Cargo Load Builder/Emergency Readiness Coordinator:

In the role of Air Cargo Load Builder/Emergency Readiness Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) in the area of air cargo load building best practices
• Check all air cargo ground service equipment in N. Wilkesboro on a scheduled basis to ensure operational readiness
• Service all air cargo ground equipment in N. Wilkesboro on an as needed basis
• In support of all flights that include cargo, oversee and coordinate the building of required air pallets
• Maintain medical logistics deployment readiness
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• Ability to read and understand assigned work tasks. Ability to compose concise e-mails with the intent of sharing operational information with the Logistics Team.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction and division. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three (3) to five (5) years’ related work experience required; previous experience building air cargo loads for a commercial airline or in the military is preferred, along with experience operating a forklift and working with warehouse or inventory management system

Travel Expectations: Minimal to 5% domestic travel.
