Samaritan’s Purse is looking for a Church Relations Associate who is heads above the rest in being a team player, incredibly organized and would welcome an opportunity to be a member of a high-energy team within Operation Christmas Child (OCC).  You will actively support the Church Relations team to grow the Operation Christmas Child (OCC) ministry brand and public awareness, while promoting the OCC discipleship program called The Greatest Journey. In addition, you will help this team represent OCC at events and conferences.  Prayerfully consider using your administrative and communication skills in Boone, NC to promote His Kingdom!

*This is a six (6) month, seasonal full-time position starting in mid-August.  Travel expected 10-15 days

A day in the life of a Church Relations Associate:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Church Relations Associate for OCC, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Assist the Church Relations team to grow the number of shoebox producing national partnerships and expand existing national partnerships 
  • Perform administrative duties including filing, copying, faxing, correspondence, routine paperwork, mailing/shipping, arranging travel, and maintaining calendars
  • Support OCC promotion at potentially more than 20 promotional events and national partner conferences, including coordinating travel, tracking and scheduling shipments, and representing OCC at select national partner conferences and events
  • Help maintain warehouse area and promotional materials, keeping the area clean and organized for packing and unloading event shipments
  • Facilitate shipping/mailing of promotional items for national partners as assigned
  • Coordinate special projects related to Operation Christmas Child’s annual volunteer Connect conferences
  • All other duties may be assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Exhibit public speaking and presentation skills
  • Able to effectively communicate with individuals from a wide range of demographics
  • Able to handle multiple assignments and complete complex jobs under deadline pressure
  • Able to work well independently or as part of a team

Job Location:  Boone, NC (no remote option)

Type:  Six (6) month- full time starting mid-August 2022 to mid-February 2023

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Travel Expectations:  10-15 days
