Our Human Resource team is seeking a Senior Human Resource Analyst to join our team in Boone, NC! This role will support the ministry by facilitating job design and organizational structures, to include consulting on job description design, analysis and development. A day in the life of a Senior Human Resource Analyst:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Senior Human Resource Analyst, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR Business Partners across the organization to analyze jobs to determine the purpose, type, scope, and functions
  • Develop and administer questionnaires, surveys and other tools to collect information for job analysis
  • Observe jobs and interview workers and supervisors to determine job and worker requirements
  • Work in a consultative manner with leadership and HR Business Partners throughout the Ministry, by strategizing, developing and carrying out job design and organizational planning per department
  • Responsible for collaborating, building and maintaining the methodology for job design analysis for approved headcount through the use of repurposing, backfilling and/or creating new positions
  • Initiate and lead the quality assurance of all job descriptions to ensure accuracy and consistency throughout
  • Manage the organization’s job description records and the maintenance of active and archived descriptions, including identifying and consolidating common descriptions.
  • Partner with Compensation staff to review position descriptions, job functions, and compensation benchmarking to implement adjustments and alignment as needed.
  • Review current organizational and market data, compiles reports, organization charts, and other information required for deeper analysis.
  • Guide hiring managers in the submission process of job descriptions to include written summaries, job specifications, and career path diagrams based on overall job analysis.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and at least five (5) years of experience within Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years of experience performing job analysis and design or facilitating job description development strongly preferred
  • General knowledge of core HR practices, processes, data and compliance
  • General knowledge of job design and organizational structures
  • Thorough knowledge and technical aptitude of compensation systems and practices
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and exhibit a high level of discretion while handling confidential information
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to handle a variety of activities and complexities spanning the organization
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, influence, direct and facilitate with cross-functional teams across the organization and flexibility to respond to a changing work environment with competing priorities
  • Ability to problem solve and strategize to meet continuously changing demands and objectives.
  • General knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.
