Our International Projects team is looking for a Medical Supply Chain Specialist to join the International Health Unit team! This position will provide expertise in medical supply chain operations, primarily supporting field offices implementing medical programs and medical disaster response efforts. This role will also get the opportunity to develop and coordinate a worldwide medical supply chain and inventory system and medical logistics training at international field offices and for DART medical logisticians. A day in the life of a Medical Supply Chain Specialist:

In the role of Medical Supply Chain Specialist, International Health Unit, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Provide technical expertise in design, development and implementation of medical inventory systems for international field offices that are consistent across all Field Offices and which align with higher level International Health Unit/Projects strategies and mandates
  • Facilitate and coordinate necessary training for International Field Offices logistics and operations staff in medical supply chain; including but not limited to medical supply sourcing activities, medical inventory management processes and forecasting for resupply, etc.
  • Work closely with International Field Offices and serve as primary advisor on on-going medical supply chain functions
  • Support the Emergency Medical Response (EMR) Supply Chain Specialist in the execution of effective EMR program systems – including inventory management systems, planning systems, vendor managed inventory systems. 
  • Support and lead EMR Supply Chain Specialist with EFH Medical Logistics & Pharmacist trainings for DART members
  • Support the EMR Supply Chain Specialist as needed during a deployment by helping to create and manage supply chain monitoring tools for medical programs and responses
  • Work closely with EMR DART medical logistics and pharmacist to monitor supply levels, analyze inventory consumption and initiating the resupply process for consumables, lab and pharmacy as needed
  • As needed, deploy with responses to lead site selection, execution of plans, and assessment team oversight when EFH deployed. Provide surge capacity for the IMT or DART deployments as requested
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and five (5) to seven (7) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Medical (RN, Pharmacist, medical logistics) training is strongly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of supply chain operations including procurement, forecasting, inventory systems and management, supplier development
  • Strong attention to details through extensive data analysis
  • Demonstrated skills in training others, to include in multicultural context or crisis setting
  • Ability to provide management in a low resource or crisis setting
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, problem solve and find creative solutions to programmatic problems, determine appropriate priorities and meet reasonable, specific deadlines
  • Ability to work with multiple departments during disaster responses to ensure that shipments are packed accurately considering all requests
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.

Travel Expectations: Required regular international and domestic travel up to 50% annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
