Samaritan’s Purse is seeking an Administrative Assistant in the Facilities Department.  This position will serve as administrative support to Facilities' leadership; coordinate schedules, meeting calendars, record keeping and other organizational needs based in Boone, NC.  Come use your organizational skills and other talents in the Ministry of Samaritan’s Purse.  

A day in the life of a Administrative Assistant

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Administrative Assistant, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Support Facilities leadership with day to day operations  
  • Perform data entry such as preparing documents for presentations and/or trainings, note taking, spreadsheet maintenance, and completion of reports and forms as needed   
  • Respond to general mail and email correspondence as needed; provide feedback and follow up with proper parties; respond to both internal and external communications
  • Assist in maintaining material supply inventories for the Ministry; act as key point person for addressing any problems with supply issues; place orders for supplies; make purchases locally and keep them recorded
  • Keep schedules for staff training, meeting, and other project needs
  • Assist with special projects as requested
  • Create ministry informational signage and other print materials
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two (2) to four (4) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator
  • Personal effectiveness and integrity
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Collaboration skills
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Intermediate technology skills
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change
