A Day in the Life of an OCC Data Processor

Serve with Samaritan’s Purse as an Operation Christmas Child Data Processor you will work on processing donations and requests during our busiest season to help bring Jesus’ love to children around the world. The Samaritan’s Purse Mail and Data Processor opportunity provides Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Processing Centers with seasonal qualified staff to help assist during the shoebox processing season of OCC.  You are acting as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to bring joy to children, families, and communities.  You, or someone you know, may be an ideal candidate to serve in as a Processor in our Processing Center.

This is a full-time, seasonal commitment that runs from November to February.  Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and possess a desire to serve the Lord in a hands-on ministry. Positions are temporary, full-time (40+ hours per week including Saturdays). Screening requirements include social media review and pastoral/spiritual mentor screen.

Skills Required:

• Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
• Able to focus on details and adjust to workflow changes with a positive attitude.
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.

DATA PROCESSING (DP)

CASH ENVELOPE KEYER

• Specialized DP keyer; assigned to processing information from cash envelope donations.

DATA PROCESSING (DP) KEYER

• Processes batches of scanned information to ensure complete and accurate records.

DATA PROCESSING (DP) COACH

• While working as a DP keyer, lead associates also assist in answering questions and solves problems for an assigned section within their department.

FOR ALL POSITIONS:

• Keep work area clean and neat. 
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Must be multi-task oriented and display proven organizational skills.

* We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other.  God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society.  For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9)

* We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism.   (Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15)

* We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen. (Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10)
