You will be given the opportunity to:

  • Provide expert HR support within our new HRIS System (PeopleSoft) with knowledge of other HRIS systems (i.e Workday, etc.)
  • Review and execute HR business process transactions to assure a high degree of accuracy; confirm compliance with relevant ministry policies, procedures and labor law provisions; diagnose, research and resolve issues in order to complete the business transactions; and ensure required documentation is on file in HRIS system.
  • Provides front line analysis and support of all transactional HR data to determine if other HR functional areas need to participate in additional approval or analysis for those transactions.
  • Partner with other internal departments and staff, such as IT, Payroll, and HR Partners to ensure the delivery of optimal services and support.
  • Act as a consultant for the Service & Support team to address complex benefits and core HR issues requiring subject-matter expertise.
  • Provides prompt, courteous, and accurate assistance to HR related inquiries from ministry staff, management and HR team partners while appropriately tracking and documenting contact.
  • Assists with reporting and notification of employee data changes to benefit vendors. Ensure vendor HRIS reporting includes accurate and timely data for enrollments, salary and location changes, separations, deferrals, and address changes.
  • Assist with compliance of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including: Affordable Care Act (ACA) Employee Trending and Employee Status Action Items, providing guidance regarding employment status; new hire reporting to states and local municipalities; and maintaining federal and state labor law postings in all work locations.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, and two (2) to four (4) years of relevant human resources experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong technical aptitude (HR systems and practices)
  • Personal Effectiveness/Credibility
  • General knowledge of HR/Benefits compliance and best practices
  • High degree of professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Instinct to take initiative to ensure job duties are completed timely and accurately
  • Ability to respond to a changing work environment with changing priorities
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and strategize to amicably resolve workplace matters
  • Strong team player with a high degree of flexibility
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
