If so you may want to consider an opportunity Samaritan’s Purse has available as a Comment Moderator with our Social Media/Quality Assurance team!  As a Comment moderator you will be on the forefront of audience engagement on social media platforms with a strong focus on Facebook. As the comment moderator you will have the opportunity to:

  • Monitor and report incoming comment activity on social media channels of the President/CEO.
  • Track sentiment, trends, and overall response/comments on social media platforms.
  • Continuous post comment moderation on Facebook, particularly on recently published content for early analysis, with continued moderation throughout the weekdays and weekends during heightened audience activity.
  • Maintain confidentiality on all comments evaluated, as well as procedures and operations.
  • Per approved comment moderation procedure, detect and report violations of audience engagement including spam, defamatory, abusive, harassing, derogatory, crude, vulgar, and/or profane language; irrelevant links, advertisements, and/or promotional content.
  • Report security threats including bad actors, threats of violence, and/or fraudulent activity from impersonating social media accounts and profiles.
  • Objectively assess thousands of daily comments while maintaining spiritual discernment in comment response.
  • Collaborate with Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association social media teams regarding comments in need of ministry response.
  • Archive testimonies and personal stories of impact relating to the ministry of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
  • Coordinate with social media team for weekend and holiday rotation for comment moderation.
  • Stay current on latest trends, technologies, tools, sites, applications, and analytics related to tracking comments and sentiment on social media.
  • Work with and report directly to Senior Social Media Specialist in handling of comments.

  • The skills to maneuver various social media platforms and grasp new and changing technologies.
  • The ability to stay focused and on task.
  • A servant hearted demeanor with strong ministry alignment and discernment.
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; three (3) to six (6) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.  (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17)
