JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
- Assist the Regional Director with general clerical support for the Projects Department, to include handling telephone calls, e-mails, general correspondence, scheduling appointments, reports, faxing and copying for the designated Regional Director, as needed.
- Serve as departmental liaison for designated Regional Director.
- Support designated Regional Director with project-related administrative and logistical duties. Complete assigned projects with RD direction to initiate; obtain RD or higher authorization/ approvals as needed.
- Review, proofread, and copyedit monthly programmatic reporting prior to submission.
- Create and maintain active working files, e-files and summaries for each project.
- Review, proofread, and copy edit periodic departmental reports for board and international circulation.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all Samaritan’s Purse projects and activities in order to respond to general inquiries.
- Serve as communications liaison for project activity and updates to Donor Ministries.
- Oversee partner relationships and ensure proper reporting is completed.
- Act as IMT Administrative Coordinator when assigned.
- Assist with maintaining and retrieving files as needed.
- Make travel arrangements as necessary and process all travel expenses.
- Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual.
- Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, its donors and volunteers.
- Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public.
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple, competing priorities.
- Team player and able to have input into high level strategy.
- Can work independently and complete tasks without constant direction.
- Prepared to respond to a disaster at a moment’s notice and commit evenings and weekends, as required.
- Great at problem solving and thinking through complex issues to find the best solutions.
- Data analysis and report writing.
- Takes initiative and looks for ways to improve processes and tasks related to the region or department.
- Helpful and willing to step in to support other regional administrative assistants, as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s Degree (A.A.) from two-year College or university; and one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies preferred, but not required.
