Description of Job duties:

  • Manage collection of ledgers and cash counts, compile and print documents for approval signatures, review coding for accuracy, and prepare ledgers for import into FARS.
  • Prepare monthly and weekly reports for review by SP Northern Iraq Program Manager and Finance Manager.
  • Review all ledgers and cash reconciliations, watch for discrepancies and outstanding cash advances. Report issues to Program Finance Manager.
  • Manage monthly payroll and help to compile data from the field and generate payroll records, pay-slips, and payroll ledger.
  • Oversee collection, organization, and review of all pertinent documents coming in from the field.
  • Manage distribution of funds to appropriate field bases in accordance with SP finance policy.
  • Be able to take on projects as needed and achieve requested results with minimal oversight.
  • Attentive to detail and able to maintain "audit ready" records of field finance activity.

Job requirements:

  • Commitment to the Samaritan’s Purse statement of faith, and experience in working with cross-cultural and cross-denominational Christians.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Finance or related field and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with FieldConnect strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Arabic language skills a plus.

6 month contract with the potential for renewal.

This is an unaccompanied assignment.

Samaritan's Purse Mission Statement:
