Description of Job duties:

  • Maintain updated list of all expatriate staff and ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain expatriate staff personnel files.
  • Provide periodic reports regarding expatriate staff, including monthly leave reports
  • Assist in the production of donor staff reports and tracking of donor funded positions.
  • Track visa requirements for expatriate staff and advise HR Manager, CD and SOM on impending deadlines.
  • Liaise with legal counsel to arrange visa extensions, work, and residence permits.
  • Coordinate with Greece HR to ensure proper reporting of expatriate staff in Greece.
  • Assist HR Manager with expatriate staffing requests.
  • Work with IHQ HR Department to manage recruitment of new International staff including creation of Job Descriptions, conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.  
  • Maintain updated organizational chart for SP Greece in conjunction with the HR Manager.
  • Develop and maintain SP Greece orientation guide for new international staff.
  • Coordinate expatriate orientation and ongoing professional development.  Act as learning advocate for SP Greece.

Job requirements:

  • Extensive international and cross-cultural working experience.
  • Strong planning, organizing, budgeting, communication and strategy formulation skills.
  • Possesses strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Must be a humble team player.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration AND one to two years related experience and/or training in HR or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
  • English required; Greek language skills preferred but not required.

12 month contract with the potential for renewal.

This is an accompanied assignment.
